The process of selecting a new member of your K9 family can be extremely difficult and somewhat intimidating at times to say the least. While at a recent visit to Northern Pines Canines, I was nothing less than amazed with not only the immaculate facilities, dogs and puppies but also with the trainers & training program. The level of expertise, devotion & pure love their dogs & puppies is unmatched. I can’t wait to go back ❤️🐾

I spent a lot of time researching different breeders online and Facebook pages. I finally saw a post recommending Northern Pines Canines. I spoke to Ken on the phone and said exactly what I was looking for. He suggested a specific pup from a recent litter. After a few weeks we took a drive from PA to New Hampshire and met the puppy. Ken spent a lot of time showing us his property, other pups and took time answering any questions we had. We also met his wife who also was very helpful. We felt very comfortable through the entire process. Our pup is doing amazing and is so smart and we’re forever grateful to the Northern Pines Canines.

I’ve sat and thought about how to do this review. Emotionally or professionally. But in all honesty I have to do both. From a professional stand point, Northern Pines Canines is a kennel to keep your eyes on. They will be no doubt be a very well known name in the future. The owners not only have great training methods, they are knowledgeable and the care about their dogs and who they go to. We were received warmly and openly but there was also a question as to who we were and what we knew. Personally I wish all kennels treated perspective buyers that way! See to me it proved not only their integrity but that of their breeding program.
The kennel is set behind a beautiful old farm house. We were given a tour and the place is spotless and all the dogs were energetic and in beautiful condition.
I highly recommend them. Not only if your looking for a puppy but if you need help with one you have!
Ok, now the personal. These two wonderful people have served our country time and time again. They are open and welcoming into their home. Not only do they have their dogs but are giving a K9 veteran a place to retire. There is a great history and knowledge of working with these dogs that comes with getting a puppy from here.
If you want a puppy that comes with a history of respect and knowledge for the breed. Northern Pines Canines is the place to go.

When you have a high drive, working dog like Nala (Dutch Shepherd) you need someone who has experience AND knowledge. Ken’s extensive background with these exquisite animals showed immediately. He builds relationship and rapport with both the K9 and the handler. He took the time to explain to me what he was doing, why he was doing it and taught me how to apply to our every day lives. Nala travels with me regularly as my Service Dog. Without the solid foundational training provided by Ken & NPK9, Nala would not be able to be my daily compainion.

Ken is kind, compassionate and approachable. He treats every dog as if it were his own.

Nala came out of training rock solid and I felt as though I had the tools & knowledge to maintain that. Highly recommended NPK9!

We took our dog Franklin to Northern Pines, he did not have any training and had some bad habits. He now has incredible recall and is a much happier dog. They treated him like their own and he is always happy to go back to see Kenny and Carolyn. Very trustworthy and it shows
